Some Amazing Thoughts! - 01:33, Tuesday, November 4, 2008

Some Amazing Thoughts!
  • Christ know how we feel and what we face when we are tempted for he was tempted in all points like us - YET WITHOUT SIN!
  • We can go directly to God's throne, with boldness, to obtain mercy and find grace to help in our time of need!
-Hebrews 4:15-16

As a child of God I do not have to worry as I enter the throne room of the King of Kings.  He will never reject me or have me slain, but instead, He always accepts me and pours out His abundant mercy and grace on me to help me in my time of need!  What a God I serve!

Wisdom - 08:34, Wednesday, October 29, 2008

This is Wednesday:

Pray for wisdom-wisdom in everything.

“How much better [is it] to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!” (Pr 16:16 AV)

What a Great God we Serve! - 09:37, Friday, September 5, 2008

Isaiah 40 - What a great chapter!

God is so great and mighty!

"To whom then will ye liken God? or what likeness will ye compare unto Him?  V18

  1. He will come with strong hand. v.10
  2. He will rule v. 10
  3. He will feed His flock like a shepherd v.11
  4. He measured the waters in the hollow of His hand v.12
  5. He meted out heaven with a span v.12
  6. He comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure v.12
  7. He weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance. v12
  8. No on can direct him, teach Him, instruct Him, judge Him, teach Him knowledge or understanding. v.14
  9. The nations are as a drop of a bucket v.15
  10. He sits on the circle of the earth and we are as grasshoppers. v.22
  11. He stretches out the heaven as a curtain and spread them out as a tent to dwell in v. 22
  12. He brings rulers to nothing and makes them as vanity. v.23 ( Watch out all ye in high places,  God will have the last laugh.  God is not mocked!)  You will all wither and be blown away as stubble v. 24
  13. He knows the number and names of all the hosts in the heavens. v.26
  14. He is the great creator v.26
  15. He is great in might and strong in power. v.26
  16. Our ways cannot be hid from God v. 27
  17. Our judgment will not be passed over by God. v. 27
  18. He faints not, is not weary, and there is no searching of His understanding v. 28
  19. He gives power to the faint and inreases strength to thsoe who have no might. v. 29
  20. He gives renewed strength to those that wait on Him.  He gives wings as eagles, He helps us to run and not be weary and to walk and not faint.  (What great promises!)

"TO WHOM THEN WILL YE LIKEN ME OR SHALL I BE EQUAL?   SAITH THE HOLY ONE."  V.25

I am awed and humbled by the great God that we have.  Yet to think that the great Creator, the I AM knows my name and loves and cares for me as an indiviual.

Wisdom - 09:15, Wednesday, September 3, 2008

The memory verse in my side bar is just what I needed today.  I know God will give me the wisdom I need if I ask in faith, nothing wavering.  What a great God we serve!

More morning thoughts:

"Remember, a mirror can relfedct only what it sees.  For us to be proper reflectors, we are going to have to see Jesus Christ properly."

Turn  your eyes upon Jesus,

Look full in His wonderful face;

And the things of earth will grow strangely dim

In the light of His glory and grace.

              -H.H. Lemmel

Is any light of the Gospel coming through your life?  Is any of the glory of God getting through to others?

Grow in Grace - 11:50, Tuesday, September 2, 2008

"God's design is marvelous.  I can take a plant, put it in the right light, feed and water it, give it proper drainage, and it will grow.  It is the same in my spiritual life.  If I stay in the Light , drink the Water of Life, feed on the Word, and witness, I'm going to grow."

- copied from God Still Loves My Kitchen by Margraff Hoover

“The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the LORD [is] upright: [he is] my rock, and [there is] no unrighteousness in him.” (Ps 92:12-15)

“But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.” (2Pe 3:18)
