Someone wanted a pregnancy test. This was a 40 year old woman who had taken two tests - one was positive and the other was negative, so she wanted us to do another one. I guess for some reason she had to bring all her friends with her including her boyfriend. I am glad I was "prayed up" before I left this morning. Normally we don't take walk ins, we like to work by appointment. However, if we have an opening we will see a walk in. I had prayed for an opportunity and asked the Lord to help me walk in the spirit and to help me speak the truth in love. Well, the test results were negative. Many times this gives an open door to talk about the Lord. I tried to go that direction, asking her about her church background and if she knew the Lord Jesus Christ. She claimed that she did so I asked her what kind of difference Christ had made in her life? Well, to make a long story short - conversation was ended. She did NOT want to talk about it and got up and left. I don't know why the Lord had all of this to happen. If nothing else, maybe He wanted to test my faithfulness to Him. God is still on the throne. It matters not what people think. He is still holy and if we claim Him as Lord and Savior, He tells us to be holy because He is holy. I'm glad I serve a holy righteous God and I will just ask Him for another opportunity to speak the truth in love. Many girls have come through those doors who have not only received physical help, but more important, spiritual help and many have trusted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
