Temporarily Back in the Work Force For a Good Cause

This past week has put be back in the work force temporarily. As former client services director at our local pregnancy resource center, I was asked to fill in for a few weeks while the current director is on maternity leave.  It has been a good reminder to me that the gospel of Jesus Christ needs to be shared with so many.  They are many women out their with "unplanned pregnancies" who need to know that we care and really do have compassion on them.  At the same time, they need to realize there is a God who loves and cares for them and has a special plan for them and their children.  They need to come so a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ through His mercy and grace and then need to be taught from His Word that He is a holy God and expects holy living.  It is a demanding job, yet a rewarding one.  The Bible tells us to Be not weary in well doing for we will reap in due season if we faint not.  It tells us that our labors are not in vain in the Lord. 

Last year I was privileged to be part of the first ultra sound that our center was able to perform.  An abortion minded client changed her mind after seeing her twins on the ultra sound.  She carried them to term and she now has healthy twins!  What a blessing! 

Let us not give up!  Life is sacred.  God is the only giver and taker of life.
