Granola

Today I made a pretty tasty Granola. I combined 2 different recipes. We usually eat it over yogurt.

Granola

6 Cups Oatmeal

1/4 c sliced Almonds

1/4 c chopped pecans

3 TBL Brown Sugar

1/4 tsp Kosher salt

1/3 c Maple Syrup

1/3 c Honey

1 tsp Vanilla

1/2 dried Cranberries

Mix all together and spred out onto a jelly roll pan. Bake at 300F for 45 mons, stirring every 15 minutes.

I would have added 1 tsp of Cinnamon if I had any, and a handful of raisins.

Wednesday, March 12, 2008 - Hello!

Posted by Laura

I just found your blog through your sewing site, which I found a link to through a local homeschool group...

This recipe sounds yummy! I hope to try it soon...

We live in the Austin area as well, homeschool (son-6, daughter-3), trying to live more simply and are trying to cut back on our grocery budget too - but without much success. It's expensive to feed a family these days!

Anyway, just wanted to say hello - maybe one day we'll make it to the group park day and meet up with you and yours... the park day is hard for us, though, b/c my hubby works a flex schedule, and is usually off that afternoon. Good for us, bad for making it to the park! :-)

Oh, yeah... I have a blog, too... www.thepeanutpatch.blogspot.com, if you want to stop by and "meet" me as well. :-)
