"The
Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in drought, and
strengthen your bones; You shall be like a watered garden, and like a
spring of water, whose waters do not fail. Those from among you shall build the old waste places;
You shall raise up the foundations of many generations; and you shall
be called the Repairer of the Breach, The Restorer of Streets to Dwell
In." Isaiah 58: 11-12 These verses tell me why my
family is the way it is. Why we live like we do; why we homeschool; and
why we are so plagued and stalked by the Enemy.
I am the first woman in
many generations from my family to
not
be divorced. In a hundred years or so, every woman from each generation
has gotten divorced in my family, until now. that explains quite alot
to me. It's by the grace of God alone, for one thing, that we are still
married and happy, so don't think I'm taking any credit! But, after
getting a family history in Texas last month while there for my
Grandmother's funeral, I found out that from at least my great, great,
great grandparents on down, every woman had been divorced at least
once, but some
many times.
This helps me lift up my head and praise God for grace and mercy. How
gracious of Him to choose my generation to be the Restorer of the
Breach. How beautiful that He has chosen my children to build the old
waste places!
The Lord is so precious! So good!
Jesus is LORD!
I will put on my little apron, clean my house, cook meals, and toil at
the laundry with a much more grateful heart now. My job isn't as
mundane as I had previously thought!
Can you see the
importance of what I'm doing here at home with me?! Can you see what
I'm seeing?! What looks like a little, boring homeschool mamma, is
actually a warrior on the front lines! This is a battle, and I am in
it. My children are the spoils the enemy is after.
Praise the Lord, O my soul!
