I have a really cool Pastor. I think I may have mentioned that once or
twice! We had a nice time at their house last week, and yesterday he
brought over a DVD he had made with a great worship song, and using
picures he had taken of our visit. The kids got to spend part of the
day riding "Old Bessie", his tractor! He let them drive all over- even
the six year old. What a blast. Today, he brought over his first
offering to our blgging community here: an article! I can't wait to see
if I can get him to blog!
He is a sheep rancher/farmer/homestead type guy. He raises his own meat
and gardens, too. His wife does alot of canning, and I think he does
too, because he brought me some pickled beets that he made. We are so
blessed to have our dreams coming true. We wanted to live in the
country, have a ton of critters, and learn to be "homesteaders", and
the Lord just keeps making things possible. I just love Him! To give us
a Pastor to teach us the Word, and teach us homestead skills on top of
that. Can you believe it??
Who has been most inspirational/helpful/ instrumental in your
homesteading plans and experiences? Leave me a comment and if possible,
a link to your source.Thanks!
2006-Feb-2 - Inspiration
You asked where we get our inspiration, for me its here on this board and my one friend that does all these great homestead things with me. No one in my family or friends want farms and animals and "domestic" things like my dh and I strive for so I'm thankful that I found this board...
