This
morning I made a batch of Kefir soap. Crazy? Maybe. It's such good
stuff, and it has alot of heaing properties, so I figured I might as
well try it. I used a goat milk soap recipe and modified it. It looks
great! I hope it worked. We will see tomorrow when I take it out of the
mold and cut it.
I
also got another goat sold- a buckling this time, so that means we can
buy hay for winter. We need to buy at least 4 tons of good hay to get
through winter, and about the same amount of wood pellets to keep warm
this winter. If I sell my last two bucklings for sale, and two of the
horses, we will have enough to buy what we need, and also put more
money in our "Liberia" fund. We are of course still trying to raise the
moeny for two Liberian teens to come home before the age limits of
Liberia make them unadoptable. We are trying! It's just not that easy
to come up with that kind of money on one income. Doug is a very hard
working man, and is working as much as possible on his side business to
raise this money. He has NEVER been out of work, and I am so grateful
for his work ethic.
Keep us in your prayers as we seek to raise an amazing amount of money
please. Pray too for Liberia as this country seeks to rebuild after
such devastating war. The children need homes!
