Keeper of my home

I have been working on being the keeper of my home. It has been really fun, to make just a house our home. This week I worked on the kitchen, keeping it clean always. I also worked on the living room. This house, we are in, has wood floors throughout the downstairs, so I worked on keeping them dust free and mopped yesterday.

I didn't do this all in one day. I used small chunks of each day to wittle away at it. Right now the house looks wonderful. I am really proud of myself for making our home look so lovely. I also know that the way it looks and feels helps my family feel more at peace.

Another thing I have been working on is the attitude of my heart. I can't just clean house, I need to get my heart right. Playing good music throughout the day, seems to help with my mood and the mood of the kids.

Today is sort of overcast outside, but I feel all warm and homey inside. A good day to finish up the laundry and maybe do alittle ironing. (my least favorite chore) I better put that praise music on.

You are right. Where our heart is makes all the difference. I have really been working on looking at homekeeping as a blessing as opposed to chores and tasks to get done!

I agree whole heartedly with this heart issue. I was convicted last night that my heart is not trusting that the Lord has my best in mind. So today I have been working on memorizing Prov. 3:5-6.
