The Land is Calling

Today my honey flew to TN to settle where his office space will be and get that all set up. I am excited. We are less than 2 wks away until we move. The time has flown by!!! Time always seems to do that , you think you will have to wait forever and BAM the wait is over.

He is also going to try and drive by the home we will be renting. I am excited to hear what the area is like and the people. I have never really been to this area, just once and it was really more of a drive by with a stop for lunch. Not really a get the feel of the area stop.

The big thing for our move was that we had sold all of our furniture, except pieces that we really loved. So we basically have an empty home. None of our kids have bedrooms. We were stressing ourselves out trying to by furniture for everyone and then we put a stop to that. I feel as long as we have beds set up we can buy everyone a dresser and work on the rest. I am not about to buy 4 complete bedroom sets under pressure. When we spend the money I want it to be on furniture I took my time to look for and really love. We do need family room furniture though. We don't have anything but dining room chairs to sit on. So we are looking for a sofa. I don't really care if we have a whole house full of furniture, it will come.

I am excited to get there and meet some other homeschoolers and get involved in some groups for my kids. They are sad about leaving friends. Moving is hard on kids. My daughter is acting funny toward her cousin. I think she is going to miss her so much, and her emotions are coming out funny. She is acting almost mean, and hurt but I know she is just so sad she doesn't know how to express it right. My niece and my daughter are the same age and the only girls, so they are like sister-cousins and  this will be hard on them. Haley, my niece, is planning on spending the summer with us so that will be awesome. It will also be something for the kids to look forward to.

I am also praying for an awesome church for us to attend! I want to get involved where ever we go. I also want the kids to like it. My little ones don't like the church we go to now, the big kids do, but my littles don't like their classes.

So now I am off to do a little packing and some school. Talk with you all later.

Hope the time goes swiftly and your move is as smooth as possible. I also hope all of you, especially your dd, adjusts well and makes dear friends.
