The Land is Calling

Today on the homefront

Today has been pretty relaxed. We have one little guy that doesn't feel so good. The whole family is taking care of him. They have made a couch bed, catered to his every need, watched a movie. We also made what he wanted for lunch. I would stay sick if I were him, he is being treated like a prince.

Housework has consisted of laundry. I started yesterday and am still going. I am washing all sheets, mattress pads, comforters...you get it. I am almost done, except now I have to do towels. We are really cleaning the upstairs bonus room today and organizing some school stuff for our move. Upstairs bathrooms will also be cleaned and bedrooms straightened.

Tomorrow we are going to visit with my friend who is visiting from CA. She and I have been best friends since the first day of Kindergarten. Now we live across the Country. She has 2 children and I have 4. It is so fun to see how our lives have changed, yet we have remained close. I love that. She hasn't seen my littlest and I haven't seen her youngest either so that will be fun.

I wanted to share that last night I made brownies. I used whole wheat pastry flour and carob powder and noone complained about them tasting funny. They were a great success. My honey had 2 and never noticed the whole wheat. I am so excited. He is a whole food sniffer outer, he always knows when I tweak something. So this was just a pat on the back for me.

We are still in FL. We will be moving March 19th. So we have a little while till we are gone. I am excited, yet still nervous. Lots to do in the next month or so.
