What happens when you have no video games?

This is what happens in my home when we have no video games? IMAGINATION!!! I love it. My kids have made a grocery and a town out of Mega Blocks. Then they made a CSI lab and made up a mystery. Then they acted out a mystery. They wrote out clues for each other and solved a crime. I got to play the maid and the dead girls sister.

They have colored and written short stories. That is just so far... We have also done school. What a wonderful day it has been. They have all worked together and no one has fought over who gets what video game controller. I cant stand the video game!

That is so great! My children dont have them either and they come up with the funniest stuff. They love to make up names for things.

You are encouraging - this has been an ongoing thing for us - I would like them banned from our house, but they aren't - does anyone know anything good that comes from them? Jill

I love Imagination!!! While we do allow certain games in our home, they are very strictly enforced, just like computer time, and we have that v-tech video system, which has a LOT of learning games on it, so yes while they are allowed, it is more of a earned thing than just a go and play thing!
