The Land is Calling

I love being in my home. I love everything it represents. I love my family and the call to serve them, educate them and provide for them in the home. I am a keeper of my home.

We have definitely been through the ringer in the past 2 mts. Yet, the Lord has remained faithful.

My honeys boss said the most horrible things about our family this past week. I have had such a hard time with his words and it has made me so sad. He laughed because of the sacrifices we have made for family. He laughed that we had 4 kids and have wanted more. He laughed because I didn't have a job outside of our home. He laughed because we homeschool our children. He laughed because our spare time is spent serving at our church. He told my honeys colleagues that my husband was unwise in his family decisions.

This has hurt my heart so much. Yes, we have sacrificed, yet my honey has always worked hard and provided for us. This is the first time that we have been flat broke! It is also not due to my honeys doing but the boss's decisions at work.  My family has always been the biggest blessing to both me and my honey. My children are wonderful, and my man is the Best!!!

I wonder if all the money and all the hours my husbands boss works are going to bless his 1 child. I know some just don't get how we feel. But I would never go out in the world and disrespect His boss like he did to us. I am just so so sad.

I just want to publically say how much I love this small group of people the Lord has blessed us with. I am thankful for a husband who is blessed by our children also. I know that the Lord will provide a way for my honey to leave this place of work and establish him elsewhere. Please pray along with us for God's hand in a new job.

Blessings,

Andrea

Praying

Andrea- I will be praying. How very sad for this man that he must make himself feel better at the sake of others. Continue to remind yourself that following God's path for your family has got to be your #1 priority and sometimes you will find that God as your family's first priority is in total opposition to the world's views of priorities to the point where it hurts you and yours. What this man thinks truly doesn't matter- his ideas/thoughts aren't all that great - look what he did to his employees and their wages! I urge you to pray for this man- even when you don't want to. I just know God has wonderful blessings in store for you and your family as long as you walk in His ways!

Oh Andrea, I am so sad for you. If I have learned anything about being a good help meet, it is that men are about respect. I try sooo hard to show my DH respect. I don't know what it must be like for him to go into his place of work and not be respected for his decisions. This has to be so hard for him and your family. My only suggestion would be to make sure his home is a place of refuge. We will definitely be praying for you and your family.
Blessings,
Trixi

Hello. I\'m not sure how I got to your site, but somehow I stumbled upon it. I am so sorry that it has been difficult since your move. We moved from KS to WV four years ago and it was very hard on all of us! What a lucky man your husband is to have a wife that keeps his home a relaxing retreat to return to after a trying day at the office.

I can completely understand making sacrifices in order to be a stay-at-home mom to many! We have four children. I do provide daycare for 2 families out of my home just to help give a little extra spending money. Some days I think it would be nice not to have daycare, but we are all so attached to these little children and they are like family to us!

Keep praying and keep your excellent attitude. God will show you the way!

Blessings,

Jodi

Lord, God in Heaven, I ask that you encourage this family in their daily lives, provide hope, money, and a future as they follow Your will for their lives.

In Jesus\' name,

Amen
