The Land is Calling

My God is a faithful God and a man of His Word. Sometimes when all things go wrong in our lives, I know I will not understand what God is doing. It seems He always does things differently than I would.

When we moved to TN, we where really quite financially secure. We moved based on what my honey had been making. When we got here, just 3 wks later, my honeys boss took away everyones salary so now they work on just commission. That was $2000 a mt. So now after 2 mts, we are down $4000. To some that may not be alot but to us it is huge. We have struggled so much, and haven't even been able to pay our bills. For us this was completely out of the blue. I have felt alone and dumped. We just left everything familiar and my whole family. Why would God do this?

His way definitely isn't mine, but I can tell you He has surrounded me with His favor. He delights over me and has blessed me beyond my finances. Our car was repossessed Thursday night at 11:30 with no warning. I had actually even talked to the bank and thought they were working with us. I had no idea that they would take your car for going 60 days late, when we had never even been late in 4 yrs. But they did. This has been hard and humiliating.

My honey felt like a failure, which he isn't. He is the hardest working man I know. Has been on more interviews than I can count and working odd jobs just to keep us eating. So we didn't know what to do and we don't know many people. We also are very private and to talk about this was really hard for my honey.

We have become close with some people in our church and my honey talked with them. The church ended up calling Shelby and asking him to come over. They told us that they wanted to help and that they would pay for us to get our car back. They also set him up with a job headhunter to help find a new job. They also want to help us this next month until Shelby gets paid again. This is so huge for us.

The feeling of thankfullness, overwhelming thanks, is so great. This is so not their responsibility, yet they said it was none negotiable and they wanted to help. God has really dealt with our pride and faith and trust in Him also. We didn't have a clue as to how we would get our car back. If we couldn't pay the minimum how where we going to pay the amout they wanted???

The Lord had a different way and I am so glad we opened up and expressed our need.I just wanted to publically praise the Lord and tell of His wonderous provision. He really allowed the body of Christ to act like the body is suppossed to.

As much as I would have like it to have all been smooth goings the Lord has provided in a really rough spot. He also has built relationships with us and some new friends and our church that I am forever going to be grateful for. I came to the place yesterday, when we didn't know if we were ever going to get our car back, that if I never saw my car again and we lost it, that I was still very blesseed. I know I am loved by my God and we will see my car again. But none the less no matter what my circumstances are if they change how God feels about me never changes and He loves you that much also. We do have a great God!!!

Blessings in My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ,

Andrea

Andrea, I am so sorry for your struggle. I remember rejoicing with you when you decided to move to (my home!) Tennessee. I had hoped you would love it. I am so proud of your church for doing their job. What church do you attend? Sometimes churches forget this part of ministry. I am also glad you and your husband were able to accept their help. I know it was hard. I know you know this, but I know that God has amazing blessings around the corner. Just be faithful. I am very excited about the glyconutients. It is expensive and we are on a pastor's salary, but the lady told me we could get our insurance to cover it. We'll see! Centrifuge is all over America. Where is your group going? Ours is in Glorietta, New Mexico.I know they use to have one in my hometown of Jackson, Tennessee at Union University. We will be celebrating our anniversary there in Franklin on July 4 and 5.Have you been to Leiper's Fork? They have a great fireworks show on the 4th. We are going and would love to meet you! I will be praying for you that God will continue to supply your needs and grow Tennessee into your heart. I love you!

What a testimony to God's faithfulness. It's wonderful to hear how your church has come together to help a family in need.
