The Land is Calling

Trust

I am finding that the Lord knows better than I. I already knew that, but I have had to really put it into practice, as of late. The Kingdom of God... have you ever really thought on that statement. It is all over the new testament. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God... The Kingdom of God will be given to them... I have given the Kingdom of God.

So I have been really seeking it. Where is it? Well we know God is in it and we know He is everywhere, so that has brought me to the conclusion that the Kingdom of God is here. Maybe in another realm we can't quite grasp yet in out human form. The Lord has said that He has already given it to us. I would really like to live in this knowledge. To stop and ponder that there is a Kingdom that has my God in it, and it has already been given to me.

This may be a silly analagy. Yet here it goes, think of the mall. If we just go through the sliding doors and get inside we have access, yet we haven't really gone in and seen all the mall has to offer. We could just stand by the candy machine in the front but never see the hundred of stores waiting for us.

Like with Christ we can get "saved", we have access, but if we don't Pursue God we will never see all of the Glories He has for us. We have to go deep. I would personally like to taste the Kingdom while here on earth.

The thing is our life right now is upsidedown, so it is not always easy to Pursue when you are feeling empty. It is not always easy to trust, when you don't see God doing what you think He should be doing. I have even recently said to God that I didn't think He was being a man of His word, because I dont see Him being faithful. Now, is He? Yes! Is He being faithful how I think He should be? NO!!! I don't understand Him or His ways but I know that I know He loves me and my family. I don't know what we are suppossed to learn right now, but I want to learn it.

Today I want to hear the Lord speak to me, today I would like to walk with Him and hear His heart. Today I would love for Him to explain some things to me. Today I would love for Him to bring peace.

Here is a list of some of the things we need prayer over. My honeys boss just decreased his pay $2000 mt (This is huge for us, he cut out his salary) He did this to everyone in the office, he is covering himself because Hurricane Season just started and they lost money last year. Our bills are not being paid, nor do we have any idea how to pay them. We have had our phone turned off (it is back on), collections are calling. My honey has applied for new jobs everywhere. He has been on lots of interviews. There is one that he would love and they just haven't made a decision ( Pray with us for this job, please).

We dropped off my car at the shop this morning and they want $700 to fix it (Gasp, that will not get done), I had to feed our family on $80 for the last 2 wks.

Through all of this we have remained faithful with our tithing, and our giving of our time. Our hearts are right before the Lord. I am just waiting to see His hand of faithfulness.

On top of this I feel like Job because I am covered with itchy, blistery, red, festering poison (ivy, oak or sumac) not sure which or could be more than one. On the outside it is misserable, in my realm it is chaos, but in the Kingdom of God there is peace.

I may not understand His ways but I trust that He know what He is doing. I also trust that He will be true to His word and provide for our needs according to Matthew 6. So I am Pursuing and watching for His hand. Please pray along with us we need all the prayer support we can gather right now.

Blessings,

Andrea

Praying

10:37, 2006-Jun-9 .. Posted by YPAmy5
Andrea- Continue to hold tight to the LORD. He knows and He cares. I will be in prayer for you and your family. Please keep us posted!
~~ Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Phil. 4:6-7
Hope that encourages you!

prayers and poison oak

02:29, 2006-Jun-20 .. Posted by VTLinda
Hi Andrea. My heart is touched by your cries out to the Lord, and your trust in His goodness. I am grateful to see that He is answering - and He will keep answering. You can count on that. About the poison oak - if you can find jewel weed, or plaintain - you can make a salve. If you can wash with bleach water when you come back in the house, it won't break out hardly at all. (Or even baking soda). I've had problems with it for 50 years, so i understand the misery. Love you in Christ. ~Linda in Virginia
