The Land is Calling

My honey

My honey, he is such a wise, and wonderful man. I am thankful for him everyday. We got to spend some alone time this morning. Of course it was because we had to bring one of our cars to the shop, but on the way home we had some time together just talking. You know what I love most about him? He desires to follow Jesus and he has a teachable spirit. That is a wonderful quality. I am thankful God led us together.

Anyway, he is just as excited about TN as I am. It looks as if we actually might get to move soon. He needs to iron some things out with his boss. We looked at some property, online, last night. It is hard to know what areas are good or not the best when you haven't been there. We are looking around Nashville on the NW side of it. If that makes sense, I am directionally challenged. It seems like a beautiful area. We were amazed at the homes and the amount of land we could get for the price. If any of you know the area I would love some direction, so let me know what you all think.

Now we are just praying for God's blessing and timing. It is an exciting time. The kids are just about to jump out of their skin at the thought of having chickens. They have already had serious discussions on who will get the eggs in the morning. Funny. I sure love those kiddos, they keep us laughing.

Today, we are just doing our regular stuff. School, meal prep, laundry, some ironing (yuck), clean in my zone, the kids have their zones also. Sometime we have to get our car and we also have to go to the fresh veggie stand. That's it for today. We are having a wonderful Asian meal tonight. Seared chicken and steak with friend rice and pan cooked cabbage and bean sprouts. Yummy! I stole the idea from a Japanese restraunt, we went to, where they cooked the food in front of us. I watched and replicated.

I pray you all have a wonderful, and blessed day.

Andrea

Thank you for welcoming me! We live in AZ right now, but we are from TN!!! Hubby is from Nashville, so I will ask him where would be a good area. Have you tried Leeper's Fork? It is a quaint little town with a main town road with antique stores and an old fashioned grocery. So cute! I dont know about prices, but it is worth checking out! I'll check with hubby and get back to you. Maybe we can meet one day. Hubby and I always go back to Nashville in the summer for our anniversary. We love being in the ministry. It is hard being so far away from home though! I hope we can talk more often! ~Shaundra

Thanks for visiting my blog!! I have added you to my friend's list as well. We moved from SW FL to TN almost 2 years ago. I don't miss it at all. You are so right about what you can buy here...compared to land values there. You will be amazed at the people you meet as well. We live in a very small town and love it...it's so different from the "me first, get out of my way" attitude from our area of FL. I have only been to Nashville twice...once to the zoo, and once shopping with my Honey (that's what I call my hubby too!) this past Christmas.
One website to look for land is www.realtracs.com . We found many, many homes that way. I wish you happy househunting and moving! It is a big move...one that I wouldn't want to make again!
I look forward to welcoming you as a fellow Tennessean!!

Blessings,
Laurie
