The Land is Calling

REST

The Lord says all who are weary He will give them rest. That we need to take on His yoke and it is easy. I am valiantly hanging on that promise right now.

You all know we just moved to TN with my honey's job. His boss sent us out here to start another office for his company. Well yesterday without any warning, in the best interest of the business, his boss sent out a mass email telling his employees that their base salary is going to be taken away and commission is being restructured. Long story short my honey's pay will be $1500.00 short next month!!! Gasp...ACK..CHOKE!!!

Pretty much I feel disillusioned. Why did his boss send us if things in the business weren't going as well as he had told me they were. Why would he have been all smiles and reassuring when we spoke a month and a half ago about my worries. Now we are here without family or friend. I am feeling very alone and in the dark, blindsighted.

On the other hand is God still on the throne, YES. Was He on vacation when we moved, NO! Did I feel His hand on our move, YES! So I am not to have an anxious spirit within me, I am not to worry about what we will eat or drink for He knows our need and if I seek His righteousness all of these will be added to us. So now I HANG on the word of God knowing that He is in control of my seemingly out of control situation.

I seriously don't know what we are going to do.I am at a lose. We are in no position to start looking for another job, we don't even have any savings anymore because of all of the moving expenses. I am just asking for prayer that God would cover us in our time of need. That I would be a blessing to my honey now and not weigh him down with anxiety. That we will hear from the Lord clearly about what He wants us to do.

Oh, Andrea, bless you and your family. A similar thing happened to my daughter and her husband. He was promoted and moved to another city - and then in just a couple of months that office was closed and he was let go. He was without work for about 6 months. But, God was faithful!
Somethimes we just don't know where God is taking us, but we can know that He knows the way.

I'll be praying for you. It is so hard to let go and let God in terms of finances...it looks so bleak sometimes. But, God ALWAYS provides. He will this time too!
Also, saw your post about your family being sick...I don't want to discourage you in that vein...but the first year we lived here in the great state of TN, we spent being sick..someone every month. My poor Honey was quite sick for about 5 months...allergies mostly. We were told that moving to a new area means you must adjust to the new things in the air...
Just wanted to tell you that you are not alone in the sickies...
We pumped up the vitamin C, garlic and echinacea...it helped somewhat.
Again, will be praying for the job and finances...

Praying with y'all about your husband's job situation! As someone has already encouraged you, know that God has your path and your security. Just hold on tight! Let us know how things go...and hope you're feelin' better :)
