Bedtime Routine???

Ours is a whatever goes routine...which I'm hoping to change!  I've got two little spirited boys that give me the worse times on some nights!  I really think a little better structure would go a long way with our family!  I'm hoping that in the end it will allow them to get more/better sleep at night which {crossing my fingers here} will result in better temperments during the day!

I've got an idea of how I WANT it to go.  This will be for just the two younger boys....

Start dinner around 5pm
Dinner by 6pm
Get ready for bed starting at 7:30....get on pjs, get blankets together, pick out a book, brush teeth {I'm wondering if I should allow more time for this one...at least just starting out???}
Bedtime at 8pm...which means they are IN the bed.  We will read a story and talk about the day.  Dim the lights.
Sleeptime by 9pm....HOPEFULLY!

The two older children will basically do the same thing, but....
Get ready for bed at 8:30
Bedtime at 9pm...quite reading
Sleeptime by 10pm...HOPEFULLY!

We'll see how it goes.  I'm really bad at keeping myself disaplined with a schedule.  So it's EVEN harder when I have to keep 4 kids on it as well!  LOL!
