I have a beautiful rooster. He is 9 months old and so pretty. BUT, he has taken a bad turn. He has gotten very aggressive and attacks everyone in the yard. Yesterday he was trying to flog my Step-mom. I took a broom and wore him out good. But today he is right back to chasing everyone. Daddy was working on my tractor Friday and Rocky kept coming up behind him and trying to spur him. I am fond of Rocky and I will miss his crowing and strutting. But my people come first, so good bye Rocky!!

Oh Rocky sounds like Sunday stew, LOL! Those roosters! Redfog, our RIR, is a bit of a monster too, but he hasn't tried to spur anyone, thank goodness...if he does, he just better know, I have been waiting a long time to de-feather a bird! (Can't you tell I am a transplanted city girl, even though I was raised on a farm!) I am up to the challenge..um..I think I am!

Sorry about rocky. Some times boys can be more than boys, they can be monsters! We have some roosters that look sooo mean, they have over 3 inch long spurs, but they are pussy cats. They loved to be held and kissed! When you put them down they strut off like you did not see that.

Reminds me of a White Silky rooster I use to have. He was a cocky one. And yes, sounds like a good pot of gumbo to me!
