California 3-Bean Chili
2 tsp. Olive Oil
1 Cup Chopped Onion
1/2 Cup Dry Red Wine
1 Can (28 oz) Diced Tomatoes
1 Can (15 oz) each of Black Beans, Red Kidney Beans
and Pinto, drained and rinsed
Spice Blend
4 tsp. Chili Powder
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1 tsp. Ground Cumin
1 tsp. Basil Leaves
2 tsp. Sugar
1/2 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Seasoned pepper
Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.
Add onion and green pepper, cook 5 min, stirring
often. Stir in spice blend and remaining ingredients.
bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer 20 min.
