• Mon 7 May 2007 - This Grandma Needs a Keeper!!!!!

Can you believe it, I got locked in the chicken coop today! I just happened to have my cell phone in my pocket. So I called my Son-in -Love and he came out to free me. But while I was waiting on him I got stung by a wasp! I am an asthmatic, so that was not good! If I had not had my cell phone with me I would have been stuck there until after midnight when my husband got home!

I told DH I was having trouble with the coop door and he needed to fix it. Sure glad I got out as soon as I did. Only 30 minutes and I was free!

I'd be up a creek if that happened to me - we don't get cell phone signal here!

I'm so glad you didn't have to sleep out there with the chickens. I know you love them and all, but that would have been a bit of close quarters! :o)

My kids are never going to let me forget this! my sixteen year old grand daughter called me while I was trapped and teased me unmercifully!!

Since I dont own a cell phone the chickens would have been running all over the yard, cuz this Kitty would have scratched and clawed her way out. I would have busted down the door and set everyone free, including me. LOL

You know, I wonder if this is some sort of retribution for being a chicken thief of sorts back when they arrived? LOL

Hey -- it could have much worse -- you could have had an outhouse.....

Hold on now! This old chicken thief repented of that. After all it was a honest mistake. I think I would have taken the wall down somehow if it had been an outhouse! HUGS!
