here in Texas my Lavender is blooming beautifully.
LAVENDAR SYRUP
If you have a lot of lavender, and would like to use it in tea during
the winter, you could also make a lavender syrup to preserve it.
You'd make a strong infusion of lavender by pouring boiling water over
it and letting it sit until it's cold. Then, strain out the lavender
and mix 1 cup sugar to 2 cups lavender infusion and bring it to a boil
(use stainless steel or glass cookware), and let it simmer for about
10 minutes. Put it in a bottle or jar and keep it in the fridge for
later use. |
