Real Italian Spaghetti
Sauce:
1 T chopped beef
1 onion
1/2 green pepper
1 clove garlic
4 cans tomato paste
4 cans water
1 celery
1 T sugar
1 T canning salt
Pinch basil
Meat Balls:
1 1/2 LB ground beef
3 slices bread
2 large brown eggs
1 clove garlic
1 1/2 t canning salt
2 t pepper
3 T Italian cheese
Pinch basil
Brown chopped beef. Add chopped onion, pepper, garlic, and celery.
Cook tender. Add to tomato paste. Have tomato sauce hot before adding
meat balls. Make meat balls drop into hot sauce cook 3 to 4 hours.
This makes a large batch. Use what you want, freeze the rest for
another time.
This is the recipe I fed my kids during their growing up years.
