For the past 5 years are so I have been very uncomfortable with how close town was creeping top our place. A few years ago a developer came in and cleared all the woods off the top of the hill that leads to our valley. Then he preceded to build $600, 000 homes. All the wild life found new home . We have had a bad coyote problem every since. Then the grass company bought up large chunks of our valley. Still it was all at least a mile away. Then they bought the field right next door. I told myself, at least they will not build houses on it. yesterday I noticed a for sale sign on the 60 some odd acres across the street from us. I looked it up. They are wanting to sell it to be developed . Asking price, $676,000 . I will be sick if they put big homes right across the street from me. I love my place so. We have spent a lot of time, money and effort making it into our very own. but I don't think I can live here if it becomes one of those Gated Communities we have so many of here in Hood County.
