1 pound lean ground beef 1 small onion, chopped 2 cans (15 ounces each) tomato sauce 1 can (15 ounces) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion 2 cans (15.5 ounces each) pinto beans 1 package McCormick's Chili Seasoning (your choice of mild, regular or hot) 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder 1 to 2 teaspoons chili powder 1/8 teaspoon black pepper 1/8 teaspoon salt Shredded cheddar cheese, optional, for garnish
Brown the ground beef with the onion in a large skillet over medium- high heat. Drain. Transfer ground beef and onion to a Crock Pot, and then add remaining ingredients.
Cook on low for eight to 10 hours. Spoon into bowls and sprinkle with shredded cheddar cheese, if desired, before serving.
Makes six servings.
