All the hustle and bustle of the holidays gives the perfect opportunity to use your crock pot!
CROCKPOT PEPPER STEAK
1 lb round steak -- (1 to 1 1/2)
2 tbs olive oil
1 clove garlic -- minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp splenda
1 cup bean sprouts
1 cup canned tomatoes -- cut up
2 green peppers -- seeded and cut into strips
1 tb cornstarch -- (core tweek)
2 tbs cold water
4 green onions -- sliced
1. Slice steak into narrow strips. In skillet or slow- cooking pot with browning unit, brown steak in oil. Combine with garlic, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and sugar in slow-cooking pot. Cook on low 6 to 8 hrs.
2. Turn control to high. Add bean sprouts, tomatoes, and green pepper strips. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Stir into pot. Cover and cook on high 15 to 20 mins or until thickened. Sprinkle with green onions.
