SNICKERDOODLES
1/2 c. butter or margarine 1/ tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. cream of tarter
1 c. sugar 2 Tbls.. sugar
1 egg 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp. vanilla
In a medium mixing bowl beat butter or margarine with an electric mixer for 30 seconds. Add about half of your flour, plus the cup of sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda and cream of tarter. Beat until thoroughly combined. Add remaining flour. Cover and chill 1 hour. Shape chilled dough into one inch balls. Roll in sugar and cinnamon. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 375* for 10-12 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown. Cool on wire rack. Makes about 36 cookies.
