I love the thought of growing herbs on your windowsill. I plan too. I know on my plans for my new house I have the window above the sink & stove so I can look out at my garden. I use alot of chili, corindar, garlic, in my cooking so I'm hoping to grow these within easy access. I plan on growing mint just because I love the smell so much.

Most of my herbs don't winter over here, so I bring my rosemary, lemon balm, thyme and lavender in for the winter and plant them back out in the spring. I also had a volunteer tomato come up in my rosemary this winter, here in the house. It's now three feet tall and blooming! Rhonda
