Got up really early this morning and went yard sale shopping. I bought 47 back issues, very old and in perfect condition , of Mother Earth News!! Got to love that! I went to another sale where a lady was giving away canning jars. She had her pick up truck full. I filled up the trunk of the car with as many wide mouth jars as I could!
When I got home my DH, who works 12 hour shifts and one day off a week, was mowing the yard. It is three acres big. He had most of it done. He also tilled between the rows of my garden to get out the weeds. He fixed my kitchen sink that was leaking also. What a doll.
We had a wedding to go to at 6:30 this evening. My son-in-law's brother was getting married and my son-in-law was performing the ceremony. It was at Chalk Mountain, about 30 miles from here, way out in the country at a ranch. But we could not find it! We finally gave up because we were about to run out of gas. We went back to the nearest town and gassed up at $2.89 a gallon. Then came back to Granbury and ate at a Mexican Restaurant downtown. We sat on the veranda and watched the sun go down as we ate. Doug says someday we will laugh at our trip to the wedding. It was a lot like a sit-com. But as for tonight, I am not laughing about it. Guess that takes time. ^..^ |
