Homemade milking standHey there this is William and its my first post. I thought I'd tell everybody about how I made my milking stand. 1.First I made a rectangle with 2 8ft 2by4 studs and 2 2ft 2by4s for the floor of the stand. 2.Then I made supports for the plywood on top. 3.Next I stood 2by6s up on each corner and nailed the floor about a foot up. 4.Then I made the part that holds the head in place and framed it in between the 2 2by6s using 1by4s to make it( you can sorta see in the picture). 5.The feeder on the end is just 4 2by4s cut 2ft each. 6.I went back after I finished everything and put braces in different places as you can see in the picture. I made it so long so that you put a goat on each end. All you have to do is do #4 again on the opposite end. This stand gets the job done but it could use a ramp to walk the goat up on it. Please leave me a comment if you build one like this from my instructions or if you have any ideas. Thanks for reading my first post. WILLIAM - - TRIPLE B ACRES
