TIME

I have survived William driving by himself!!  He drove himself & Adam on Saturday to our Baptist churches work day-- Operation In As Much.  Several of the Baptist churches in town got together and had a community day.  Groups were formed -- my boys helped out with 2 different construction projects-- they built wheelchair ramps at 2 different houses.  One group had  a cookout & Bingo at an elderly/handicapped apartment complex.  I had to see a patient at this complex later on Sat afternoon and she was telling me how much she and all of her neighbors enjoyed this.  I am not sure of all the activities going on but I know it was a big success.  One day, when I don't have to work weekends anymore, I will join in on the fun!  Sometimes I get down because I have to work every weekend (I get 3 weekends off a year) and then I think about how blessed I truly am-- I can be home with my kids during the week and still do a job that I truly do enjoy!  I like to think about what the Bible says about time:

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8: 

1)There is a time for everything, and season for every activity under heaven: 

2)a time to be born and time to die,  a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3)a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build,

4)a time to weep and a time to laugh,  a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5)a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,  a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6)a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7)a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8)a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.

I know that eventually I will be in another time-- a time when my children will not need me like they do now.  I am very thankful I am able to be home with my children at this time in their lives.

We had 21 out of 35 eggs hatch-- quite a variety!  They started hatching Thursday night and the last one hatched Sunday morning while we were at church.  Our friend, that we were hatching them for, came and picked them up Monday morning.  It is amazing to me how fast a chick grows-- the oldest ones already had some feathers starting on their wings.  I can watch chicks hatch over & over-- I don't know how anyone can doubt that we have a Divine Creator!!! 

The one without any fuzz on its neck is called a Turken (or Turkey neck or Naked neck)  they are some of the best layers we have seen.  They are funny to look at but great chickens.  We had 3 of those hatch.  I hope they are hens.

I pray that you will all have a blessed day.  There is a chance for more storms here today.  But it is supposed to finally clear out tomorrow.  As I have said before we still desperately need the rain but it seems like when it comes it stays for 3-5 days in a row.  I am ready to see the sun again.  We are just never satisfied!!!
