~ Book Study Information ~

Book Study Information

I am so glad you have decided to read this information.  I hope you will join us for our book studies.  Before you join, I'd like to share with you a few things.

First and foremost, the purpose of doing these book studies is to draw us closer to God and help us deepen our relationship with Him.

Second, please understand that I may or may not agree with every thing in the books we study. It is rare to find a person who we agree with 100%. When reading other people’s material (books, web-sites, magazines, articles, etc.), we must always take what the author says and test it to God’s Word. This is exactly what I want us to do.

Third, any time a study is conducted, the opportunity for disagreements presents itself.  Discussing different viewpoints can be very healthy.  However, when iron sharpens iron sparks tend to be ignited.  If not careful, fires can result and people can get burned.  Therefore, I request that all comments and blog posts related to these studies be written clearly in a manner that reflects love and not criticism.  I reserve the right to delete any comment and/or request retraction of any blog post that is overly critical/negative or malicious in any way.  Let us all remember "...Knowledge puffs up, but love builds up." (1 Corinthians 8:1b,NIV)

Finally, I ask that you include the graphic below in each of your posts for the studies you participate in.  Please use the following URL to link the graphic back to my blog:

On discussion days, you do your own post on your blog discussing what you learned from that week's assignment, what stood out to you, etc. as well as the discussion questions.  Then come back to my blog post and sign Mr. Linky so we can visit one another blogs for the discussion.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this information.  I hope you will join us as we strive to draw closer to our Heavenly Father.

~ All About Me ~

I grew up in a ministry family. The daughter of a preacher, I definitely fit the typical mold of a preacher’s kid. I have had many life experiences including being a pregnant teen and single mom, experiencing divorce, and more. All of my life experiences, good and bad, have molded me into the person I am today. I have an intense desire to see women live in the freedom Christ came to give them. I myself know the prison of bondage and the liberation of Christ.
