~ New Book Study ~

Book Study

I am getting ready to read the book Lies Women Believe by Nancy Leigh DeMoss.  I would like to do this as a book study here on my blog where you can participate with me.  The following is the description of the book as found on the book's back cover:

"We are like Eve.  We have all experienced defeats and failures, trouble and turmoil.  We have all experienced a selfish heart, a shrewish spirit, anger, envy and bitterness.  And we ache to do things over, to have lives of harmony and peace.

In her book, Lies Women Believe, author Nancy Leigh DeMoss exposes those areas of deception most commonly believed by Christian women:

• LIES ABOUT THEMSELVES:  I should not have to live with unfulfilled longings.
• LIES ABOUT SIN:  I cannot walk in consistent victory over sin.
• LIES ABOUT THEIR MARRIAGE:  If I submit to my husband, I will be miserable.
• LIES ABOUT EMOTIONS:  I can't control my emotions.
• LIES ABOUT THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES:  I just can't take any more.

Nancy Leigh DeMoss sheds light on how we can be delivered from bondage and set free to walk in God's grace, forgiveness, and abundant life.  This book offers the most effective weapon to counter and overcome Satan's deceptions - God's truth."

If you'd like to join me in this book study, please sign Mr. Linky below or leave me a comment including your blog or email address so that I can contact you when the book study begins.  I have read portions of this book before and what I read was excellent.  I look forward to reading the entire book.  I also have the companion guide that I will be using as well.  I hope you will join me.

~ All About Me ~

I grew up in a ministry family. The daughter of a preacher, I definitely fit the typical mold of a preacher’s kid. I have had many life experiences including being a pregnant teen and single mom, experiencing divorce, and more. All of my life experiences, good and bad, have molded me into the person I am today. I have an intense desire to see women live in the freedom Christ came to give them. I myself know the prison of bondage and the liberation of Christ.
