Welcome to the Truth and Grace (T.A.G.) Blog: a place where women can connect with other women and encourage and support one another. We want this blog to be a positive place where all is done in love according to
I Corinthians 16:14 which says, "Let all that you do be done in love." (NASB) We welcome you to this blog and hope that it will be a source of encouragement to you.
It's been awhile since I've posted on Thankful Thursdays. We've had many changes and adjustments that have required my time and energy. I have so much to be thankful for as always. The Lord is our continual Great Provider! We made a major move back in May of 2008 with no job and no housing. We stayed with my parents some. Within one week of moving my husband had a great job. And just 9 days after moving, we had an apartment! Our God is so good!
I am also thankful for realizing that you can eat a healthy, wholefoods diet on a limited budget. There was a time when I thought that to truly eat a whole foods diet - lots of fresh fruits, veggies, and buying foods in their original state (meaning cooking most things from scratch) - was expensive to do. I have been able to do so on $100 a week which is our weekly grocery budget. And that includes non-food items as well! God is indeed good as always. I can tell a difference in me. I feel better, I know I am getting healthier, and I'm losing weight!
Having made this major move means we are now living in the same town as my parents. I am so thankful for that. It's been years since we've lived close to my family and I am loving it!
Because of this major move, my husband now has a job that he really likes. It's been so long since he's really enjoyed his work and enjoyed GOING to work. I can't tell you how happy it makes me to know he finally enjoys his employment. He feels good about it. And I am so thankful for that.
I'm thankful for being able to finally find some time on a daily basis to work on my own personal indepth Bible study. Praise be to the Lord!

Wow, this post is so encouraging. I really needed to read it. I cling to the Lord that He will also bless my husband in the same manner as you and yours.
Thank God for providing for you and family in many wonderful ways! May God continue to bless and guide you and family in this new year. Hope you have a great week!
A very encouraging post & thank you so much for stopping by my blog & leaving a comment. Blessings to you, Tammy (encouragementforthetoday.blogspot.com)
What a great list of things to be thankful for! How wonderful that you have found a way to eat healthy on a tight budget! We too are on a tight budget and I always pray before shopping for God to show me bargains and discounts and to help me stretch our money, and He always does!
Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday, and have a wonderful weekend!
I grew up in a ministry family. The daughter of a preacher, I definitely fit the typical mold of a preacher’s kid. I have had many life experiences including being a pregnant teen and single mom, experiencing divorce, and more. All of my life experiences, good and bad, have molded me into the person I am today. I have an intense desire to see women live in the freedom Christ came to give them. I myself know the prison of bondage and the liberation of Christ.
I participate in the Siesta Scripture Memory Team with Beth Moore on The LPM Blog. Would you like to join us? Simply click on the link below for more details:
