Today, this is what I wrote on my homeschool blog for my nature journal:
It has been really nice today as far as temperature goes. My mother, older daughter, youngest daughter, and myself took our walk outside this morning. Later today when I was out running an errand, there was a nice breeze with some clouds in the sky. It looked and felt like it might rain. Well.....rain it did just a little while ago. We had a pretty good downpour for awhile. And actually it is raining heavy once again right now.
Picturing a good downpour, can you imagine that God's love is like the steady, heavy rain pouring down upon you? God's love is unending - flooding even the deepest recesses of our hearts. His love can change even the cold heart - melting it, forming it - into His grand masterpiece. I am so thankful for God's precious, unending, unfailing, unconditional love!
"For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Romans 8:38-39 (NASB)
