I *LOVE* Organics!!
We have really tried, and I mean really, tried to go as much organic as our budget will allow. Why does the good stuff also cost more than the bad?? You think that since it has no pesticides, hormones or antibiotics, that it would be less, right?? I mean, logically, it should cost less.
Anyway, our local Kroger has a big organic section and have newly added skin care, toiletries, kitchen cleaning supplies, and laundry supplies. They have natural toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, and dish soap. They also have deodorant, toothpaste, lotion, shampoo and conditioner, mouth wash, shaving cream, face wash, face moisturizer, face mask, and etc.
They are pretty reasonable priced too. They are a little more than regular, but that's ok.
Anyway, I bought some organic face wash. I *LOVE* it!! I have noticed that since I have been using it, my face is extremely soft and smooth. My moisturizer goes on alot easier, and my make-up too.
It's called "alba". They had 2 different ones, and I got the Sea Mineral cleansing gel. Here are the ingredients: purified water, certified organic aloe barbadensis leaf juice, sodium myreth sulfate, soyamide DEA, cocoamidopropyl, hydroxysultaine, vegetable glycerin, extracts of spirulina maxima (algae), ulva lactuca (sea lettuce), laminaria digitata (kelp), chondrus cripus (irish moss), and macrosystis pyrifera (kelp), citrus grandis (grapefruit), fruit and camellia sinensis (green tea) leaf extracts, phenoxyethanol, ethylhexyglycerin, potassium sorbate, citric acid, and fragance.
Nothing bad that I have ever heard of in there. I was going to try the moisturizer, but it was a little outside my budget for it being so small.
So anyway, I really like it and thought I would share it.
We have been using the laundry detergent too. I *love* that too.
Lucy had a stain on the front of her shirt due to her slobbering all over it. It was all wet and since wet clothing attracts dirt, it was stained. I have washed it and it hadn't come out. So I used the last of our Shaklee Basic H on it, so get it out. Nope it didn't work either. So I took some of the Seventh Generation natural detergent and put it in our stain remover bottle with some water, shook it up and sprayed it on her shirt. I think I let it set for awhile, then I washed it. When it came out, the stain was gone!! I was so surprised and happy. I hate stains and if there is something with one, I don't dry it til its gone. It also whitens white pretty well, and it works great for the cloth diapers. I mean it really gets them clean. And the smell clean too.
But the Seventh Generation laundry soap works great. I would suggest it. It does have a bit of a fragrance, but not too bad. Mom doesn't notice it, so its not that strong.
We just bought some of the natural shampoo and conditioner too. It's called Nature's Garden. The shampoo is tea tree and the conditioner is awapuhi. The conditioner smells so good!! I really like it. They don't say organic, but they are pretty much all natural.
We also use the Seventh Generation dish soap. We use the free clean, which has no smell. Can you tell we don't like our soaps to smell like soap?? lol!!
It works well with grease. Gets it off real good.
So anyway, those are organic things we use besides organic food. Now if only I could find some organic makeup that would be good.
As Always,
!! !!
