Happenings at our Homestead..

The girls have been really good lately. They come to me when I walk to our nice new fence, and they actually like me. WOOHOO!! I think they know that I am in charge. I am the lead mare. Which is so nice. I almost want to saddle them and ride them... almost.
What I need to do is give them each a bath. I am sort of scared to do that though. I am just thinking about putting soap on them and letting them out when it rains.
They have been able to get out alot too. They love grazing. Although they have balded our grass, so I have to let them go to the other side to graze. I sure hope it rains soon, so that the grass will grow.

I will be posting pics soon.

Joc posted about her dumb goat, Chloe. That goat is evil. SERIOUSLY. I had to wrestle her to the ground a couple time last week, so we could milk her. She kicked and kicked. It really hurt too. I got some bruises on my arms from her. I ABSOLUTELY HATE goat wrestling. NO WAY, JOSE!! So if her udder explodes it will be her own fault. Dumb Goat.

I went out and helped Mom in the garden earlier this week. I really do NOT like gardening, but Mom wants a garden and she needs help, so I know I have to do it. I really have a bad attitude about the garden, cause I really don't want one. But this is what our family needs to do now, so I need to change my attitude about it. I am really trying not to have a bad attitude about it. But it is hard. Only God can help me with this attitude. I am praying to just get rid of it.

The Super Secret Angels group is officially closed for the first session. Thank you to all of you who decided you could join. I will be sending you your SSA this weekend, hopefully!!
I am thinking of running this session til October 7th. That is 3 months.  I will then reopen it to submissions and we will start a new session November 7th.

OK... Also be sure to get your Homesteading Carnival submissions in by Sunday nite. The Carnival is being hosted at Homesteading Carnival blog.

As always,

wow you are so busy. Gardening can be a bean up the nose sometimes.

Think of it like this... in 20 years this country could be run by the World UN and become a socialistic society where allotments of food are given out by the govt. who also owns all your property rights, and there are no stored up unadultered seeds available for the common man to plant. Right now we have the freedom to grow our own abundance of fresh food for pleasure, canning, for profit and for health :)

You have a tag on my blog, you don't have to do it, but please comment if you would :)
