I'm Sending Them To The Glue Factory...

Earlier this week, I just wanted to get rid of them. Send them to the glue factory. I am not kidding. All I am doing with them is feeding, watering, and cleaning stalls. There is no pleasure in them now.
But I have Mom... she just encouraged me and helped me to get my thoughts straight and my goal set.
So I am going to train the girls and not stop.
I am so very happy I have a mom like Mom. I am just not wanting to be with the girls. I am upset about the whole situation. I thought I would be able to ride them and can't for a couple years. They are not trained like I thought they were. I just don't think I can train them.
My Grandma and Aunt Dee are here and they have been helping me with what I need to work on with the girls.
I took them both out, one at a time, and walked them around in a circle. Estrella did ok, til she wanted to graze and didn't want her head up.
Then she bucked and reared and I let her go... She ran around and I made her run and run. She didn't like that too much. Of course neither did I since I looked like a moron running around the yard, chasing a horse, swinging a rope around head and yelling at her. I felt every dumb. But that is what I have to do, I guess.
Now Dulcy was fine. The only time she bucked and reared was when she thought I was going to hit her with the rope. She doesn't like that. She did get away, but she didn't run away like Estrella. She walked a bit from me, then let me get her.
So I know that is a sign. Estrella is doing better than she was, so I just need to work with her.
So I thought I would update you all on them.
They are also losing their fur and it scared me at first. I thought maybe it was not supposed to be that thin, but she is fine.
Dulcy actually scraped up her chin from rubbing her halter, so I took it off for a few days... It is starting to heal again.
So anyway... I am tired from chasing Estrella, but wanted to update you all.
Love...

I love the colors on your blog!!! so bright and cheerful and SPRING-Y!
good luck with those horses. my dd3 wants a pony. I tell her "when you are old enough to learn how to take care of one, we'll talk about it" - see I am a city girl, and while I love to ride horses, I know nothing about them.

God has brought you to it, and He will bring you through it!!

Posted by FruitfulVineof7SoFar
I am just the helper here, Amanda. I don't know why we are going through this with these horses, but they are ours, and God knew where we would be and what we would need.
I read on a blog last week sometime that when something is going right in our lives, we are all about thanking God for His blessings, but, when things are awry, we are praying for His deliverance! Maybe, this *is* His blessing. He has much to teach us about His providence, His protection, His plans and desire to be Lord of our lives. Truly a blessing.
I am blessed to have you, my beautiful, dear daughter. Truly I am blessed to experience all the things we will experience together - good and bad, we will grow toward Him together!
Be Blessed, Amanda!

Keep trying! You can do it! Pray for patience too. You will need God's help. I will be praying for you as well. The Lord knew you could handle this situation. He let it all happen as it has for a purpose.

I liked seeing the pictures.

P.S. I had not read your Moms comment before I posted. I am glad you have such an encourager around all the time. God places family's together just as they should be. :)
