Back to the homestead...
|
Only 5 months between posts, that's not bad is it???
I have been busy over at my other blog dedicated to our current adoption. We are adopting a little girl from China, and we got our referral on June 25th. We are waiting to travel to get her in a few months.
I have been thinking about homesteading lately. We have been working on the house, finishing up the painting, and we got more chickens. We are hopefully going to have our fence up by next spring. One of my homesteading friends, Tara, came over and our hubbies got a good start on it! Yeah! Thank you Tara!
We have been out harvesting around the little farm. This week we got blackberries and peaches...mmm. Dh made a delicious batch of peach salsa the other day, and I will be making more tomorrow!
More to come...

Thanks for commenting on my recent post (King Josiah Experience), as that let me know that you are blogging here again. I took a few months off (February through June), and when I got back and checked in with my old friends, I found that some of them (like you) were not blogging anymore. I'm glad to see that you are back.
I also am excited to learn about your adoption. My husband and I are still in the praying about it stage. Our hope, as well, (interesting choice of words, since we will name a girl Hope) is a girl from China. The cost is what is holding my husband back. Our finances are not in the best shape. We pray the Lord opens up a door.

Congratulations on your adoption! One of my best friends recently adopted her little sweetie from Vietnam. It was a blessing to go through the journey with her. I have always had the desire to adopt from China, so we'll see if it's in the Lord's will. Anyway, if you get the time, I'd love the peach salsa recipe. I have a bushel sitting in my kitchen right now, so I'm looking for some interesting ideas. It was nice to meet you!

Hi!
It is so exciting that you're adopting a child from China. My mom's friend adopted a little girl from China years ago and raised her in the ways of God. It was a blessing. They named her Leah. God bless you!
