It has been awhile again since I have writen but I miss everyone so thought I would make some time to say hello.

I pray that everyone will have a blessed blessed New Year. I pray that everyone's days will be filled with love and laughter and that your marriages will be blessed and your families filled with happiness.

I am not going to list resolutions for myself this year, my only prayer for me is that I come closer to the Lord each and every day.

I started a Holiday Secret Sister Swap back in November (click HERE to view original post) and I had to greatest package sent my way.

Heather (and kids) THANK YOU SO MUCH... I love it ALL!!!

included here are pictures drawn by her children, homemade candy, homemade soap, two ceramic mice, a hand-drawn picture by Heather, coffee and unfortunately the candle the children sent me didn't make it. Thank you children!

Here is a close up of the drawing Heather did for me...

Thank you my Christmas Angel.

(the reason I know who my secret sister is is that I matched everyone up by drawing straws.)

Just stopping in to wish you all a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

A Christmas letter from Jesus

Dear Children,

It has come to my attention that many you are upset that folks
are taking My name out of the season. Maybe you've forgotten
that I wasn't actually born during this time of the year and
that it was some of your predecessors who decided to celebrate
My birthday on what was actually a time of pagan festival.
Although I do appreciate being remembered anytime.

How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be
most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed
with children of your own.

I don't care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate
My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.

Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the
town in which you live doesn't allow a scene depicting My
birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santa's and snowmen
and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn. If
all My followers did that there wouldn't be any need for such
a scene on the town square because there would be many of them
all around town.

Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree
a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made
all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree.
Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that
one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and
what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one,
look up John 15: 1 - 8.

If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth
here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My
birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope
to soldiers away from home.  They are terribly afraid and
lonely this time of year.  I know, they tell Me all the time.

2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don't have to know
them personally.  They just need to know that someone cares
about them.

3. Instead of writing George complaining about the wording on
the cards his staff sent out this year, why don't you write
and tell him that you'll be praying for him and his family
this year.  Then follow up.  It will be nice hearing from you
again.

4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can't
afford and they don't need, spend time with them.  Tell them
the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down
here.  Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love
them.

5. Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him
or her.

6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take
their own life this season because they feel so alone and
hopeless?  Since you don't know who that person is, try giving
everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.

7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town
calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there.
Give them a warm smile and a kind word.  Even if they aren't
allowed to wish you a "Merry Christmas" that doesn't keep you
from wishing them one.  Then stop shopping there on Sunday.
If the store didn't make so much money on that day they'd
close and let their employees spend the day at home with their
families.

8. If you really want to make a difference, support a
missionary - especially one who takes My love and Good News to
those who have never heard My name.

9. Here's a good one.  There are individuals and whole
families in your town who not only will have no "Christmas"
tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or
receive.  If you don't know them, buy some food and a few
gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other
charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery
for you.

10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief
in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian.  Don't do
things in secret that you wouldn't do in My presence.  Let
people know by your actions that you are one of mine.

Don't forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love
Me and do what I have told you to do. I'll take care of all
the rest.

Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I'll
help you, but the ball is now in  your court. And do have a
most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and
remember:
I LOVE YOU, JESUS

For TodayDecember 22nd 2008

Outside my Window…  The temp is a mere 13* , the sky is grey, but the sun is shinning through with vengence. The wind is blowing with a mighty gust. The dogs are huddled against the back of the house to stay warm and out of the wind. The horses are standing inside the barn facing the sun to warm themselves and the cats are protecting the hay and staying warm within it. heehee

I am thinking…of so much that my head is spinning.

From the learning rooms. we are reading The Christmas Letter from Jesus, and thinking of ways that we can change our look Christmas. Oh don't get me wrong, we love Christmas. I just want to teach my children (and it is never to late) to GIVE during this holiday and not so much long to receive. I believe that my children were given a BIRTHDAY where we celebrate THEM and this time of year should be spent celebrating the birth of our savior. I have felt this way in my heart for a long long time and have always pushed it away because I was made to feel like scruge. IT is time I share my WHOLE heart with my children so that maybe they too will see the true meaning of the birth of their savior and share it with their children as well.

I am thankful for…  the strength the Lord has given me to stand for what I believe.

From the kitchenI can hear someone going for a glass of tea and a Christmas cookie. hehee and they think I don't know.

I am wearingbrown leggings, (ohh they are so warm and comfy) and an over sized t-shirt, thick warm comfy socks and my lap quilt that was given to me through a swap. Ahhhhh all so comfy.

I am reading…"Preparing My Heart for Advent: and Ragweed by Avi

I am hopingthat all my friends around the world and all of my extended family members are warm, fed, and blessed beyond belief.

I am creatingseveral fleece hats and scarves for holiday gifts.

I am hearingthe heat running, (praise you Lord for this comfort)  the wind blowing and the clicking of the computer keyboard. Ahhhh quiet!

Around the housenot a creature is stiring., not even a mouse!

One of my favorite things this time of year is singing and hearing Christmas songs about baby Jesus, songs that glorify the Lord and driving around looking at the beautiful Nativity scenes and hearing the laughter of the children.

I am praying forall those people who don't have heat, family close by to laugh with and share their hearts with. my extended family members I can't be with right now, my friends and their families, and all those who don't know Jesus! May God bless each and every one of you! .

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Weekfinishing the organization of all the totes spread here and there and putting them down on the storage shelves, cleaning up the whole office so I can do something with these walls. Sharing the Love of Jesus with everyone I see. Preparing my family for a day of Giving.

What I accomplished since last weekfinished a quilted blanket for my daughter to give to one of her friends, made over 120 cookies to share at a cookie exchange (which I must say was a total BLAST), finished two gifts for my family and found the strength to share my true feelings with my family about the Christmas season. (Thank you Lord)

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

Sagerat wonders....

1.  Why did you start a blog? To keep in touch better with family and friends and meet new friends.

2.  What did/do you hope to accomplish with your blogging? I hope to share family accomplishments, struggles and goals with those I know and love and glean from those who have been there/done that.

3.  Have you found that you don't post as much as you did when you started? I don't post as much as I used to.

NOW you may be wondering why I posted these questions cause someone else was curious and wanted to know the answers so I will tell you why.

1) I thought they were good curiosity questions and I hope you will answer them on your blog

2) Because SAGERAT is having a contest and I wanted to join. :-)

Now you can pop over to her contest HERE and be a part of it as well, or you can just leave a comment here and say hello. I encourage you to DO BOTH.

Have a blessed and wonderful day.

8.  What determines why you don't post a comment on someone else's blog? if a blogger just posts their daily happenings and it really doesn't call for a comment I tend not to post one. But I do SOMETIMES just say 'hey I was here, enjoyed your post."

9.  What determines why you do post a comment on someone else's blog? the need of the reader. I love to pray for people when they are in need, encourage others when they need it and share their joy when they post about it.

10.  Do you have more than one blog?  yes Where? http://www.heavenlymouseprints.blogspot.com
http://sharingodsgifts.blogspot.com/

11.  Do you read random blogs either off of random blogger or friends lists?  Oh yes, on those crazy nights when I just can't sleep I will randomly hit bloggers off a friends blog first and then off their blog and so on ... I love to visit new blogs.
4.  If yes, why not?  When I see that life is repeating itself and there is nothing new to talk about I won't bore my readers.

5.  How important are comments to you? I do like people to comment but it isn't REAL important. When someone has something nice to share I welcome all the comments they have.  I like people to post a simular situation in their life or a bit of advice if they have been in a simular situation that may work for me as well.

6.  Do you ever find yourself wishing people would not always leave comments that agree with you? all comments are welcome unless they are derogitory or hateful.

7.  Do you comment on other people's blogs a lot, sometimes, or very little? If I stop by a blog and find something interesting, joyful, or if someone is in need of prayer, I will comment.

Who's who in your life?

I saw this on a friends blog and it fell right into the way I have been feeling lately. I have been reading the book 'preparing my heart for Advent and this just touched me.

Jesus is Better than Santa

Santa lives at the North Pole.

JESUS is everywhere.

Santa rides in a sleigh

JESUS rides on the wind and walks on the water.

Santa comes but once a year

JESUS is an ever present help.

Santa fills your stockings with goodies

JESUS supplies all your needs.

Santa comes down your chimney uninvited

JESUS stands at your door and knocks.. and then enters your heart.

You have to stand in line to see Santa

JESUS is as close as the mention of His name.

Santa lets you sit on his lap

JESUS lets you rest in His arms.

Santa doesn't know your name, all he can say is "Hi little boy or girl, What's your name?"

JESUS knew our name before we did. Not only does He know our name, He knows our address too. He knows our history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on our heads.

Santa has a belly like a bowl full of jelly

JESUS has a heart full of love.

All Santa can offer is HO HO HO

JESUS offers health, help and hope.

Santa says "You better not cry"

JESUS says "Cast all your cares on me for I care for you.

Santa's little helpers make toys

JESUS makes new life, mends wounded hearts, repairs broken homes and builds mansions.

Santa may make you chuckle but

JESUS gives you joy that is your strength.

While Santa puts gifts under your tree

JESUS became our gift and died on the tree.

It's obvious there is really no comparison.

We need to remember WHO Christmas is all about.

We need to put Christ back in Christmas.

Jesus is still the reason for the season.
