I came here to check out the blogs and want to visit often so I've made a blog of my own. I don't have anything to teach or share, but I have a lot I want to learn so I'll record what I'm learning/trying/doing here and glean wisdom from others.
I have kept a garden for 6 years now, since moving from TX to CT. This year I want to learn how to preserve my vegtables and herbs. I also want to learn to do more with the herbs I grow. We live in an old house and have a root cellar and I'd like to learn what to do with it, instead of storing our air conditioners in it!
I've taught myself to knit but can only do scarves so far, I'd love to be able to knit socks, mittens and hats for the children. That's it for now!

...Rebecca - so nice to meet you - like you, I don't have many homesteading skills - this will be my first year with a garden - so you are ahead of me - I am teaching myself to knit also - I am working on a dishcloth - if you know of any helpful books or site for a beginner, let me know -
Blessings
Donna
