Herb Garden Design

This is the Jerusalem Cross design I plan for the herb garden:

I plan to plant basil, peppermint, cat mint (catnip), wintergreen, spearmint, apple mint, orange mint, chocolate mint, pineapple sage, chives, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, oregano, lavender, dill, parsley ~ probably some other stuff (my garden journal is downstairs), oh yeah, maybe some violets for the edible flowers.

The garden will make loads of mint tea (yummy over the winter months) and wintergreen tea, lavender for lavender lemonade and lavender baths ~ and lots of basil for pesto YUMMY ~ catnip to keep the cats rolling in it ~ and loads of spices for cooking.  And Hannah is learning to make soap, so maybe herbs to add to her homemade soap bars.

It will be a restful and beautifully scented space to sit and pray, to meditate on God's Word...

I have a wonderful herb garden in my front yard. It is my most favorite place to sit and commune with the Lord. Can I suggest a lemon verbena shrub also. Wonderful for teas and many different things. It is my #1 favorite herb. ^..^
