Sisyphus Acres

Winding down to the weekend...

Tonight I worked on my winter scrf got 1/4 of it finished ~ so far we've had a releatively mild winter ~ we are used to -30 and -40s pretty frequently, and we've averaged around 30 above so far, so the scarf will probably not be put to good use this year ~ I already have one, but was crocheting this as a back up.  Hannah had a heavy polarfleece scarf that we made together, and I crocheted her a new one this fall.

Decided what the stencil for the hally will look like, will be cutting it tomorrow and painting the sample on Saturday to check the design/colors.  I also will be sewing my quilt squares, will be picking out my fabrics as soon as I finish this entry and will decide on a pattern tomorrow.

Tree order has been mailed ~ planting a windbreak.  Ordered blue spruce, sugar maple (for eventual tapping), and red oak (both for beauty and acorns).  Seed order will go out tomorrow...only about 6 weeks until we need to think about starting our indoor seedlings.  I need to draw the garden plan soon, to get things in order.  I am thinking about getting a soil thermometer too, to help decide when it would be best to begin planting.  Lots of work to do to get ready.  I can't wait.

Dreaming of dirt between my fingers,

Blessings
