A New week dawns...

Hello Everyone, here it is Tuesday, and I just realized I havenÂ’t been on the computer here since Friday ~ wow, would never have though that could happen!

Anyways, I finished painting the bathroom for my folks this past weekend ~ Came out very nice, but I donÂ’t like the colorÂ…then again, itÂ’s not my bathroomÂ… I also whipped out a TON of laundry (who would think we could make so much, just Hannah and I?).  I have to do bed linens tomorrow, did the linens in the guest room after our overnight guests left.  I also shoveled a lot, trying to clear the paths for the oil guy, and to the basement.  Furnace is still kicking off about once every 18 hours or so, call is in to the furnace guy, just a waiting game now.

Also cleaned the house, washed the floors, vacuumed, more decluttering.  Hannah is also decluttering and reorganizing her bedroom (YAY!).  I have the guest room to finish and the decluttering should be close to complete J

One of HannahÂ’s guinea pigs died Friday night (Smore) ~ she was heartbroken ~ Smore had been having seizures, and she was about 6 years old, so it wasnÂ’t entirely unexpected.  She was happy that she wasnÂ’t suffering, but sad about her loss.  Her other guinea, Coco, seems a little bit lost, but Hannah has been playing with her a lot to keep her happy.

She has started her project for the science fair; she has planted cotton seeds (that we got on our trip to TX), two different kinds, half in sandy soil, and half in Loamy soil, to see in which soil they grow better.  She may also use part of this as a 4H project (along with some gardening and quilting).

Tomorrow night I am also going to tape off the upstairs hallway so that I can begin to paint Thursday or Friday, and finish the painting over the weekend.  Then IÂ’ll work on the stenciling ~ the other 2 bathrooms will waitÂ…after the stenciling I have some needed quilt repairs to make, and the finish work on the edges of my tablecloth quilt.

Made homemade chili on Saturday after the recycle run and groceries.  Sunday was a quiet day as usual, went to have my daughter fitted for her snowboard lessons, and spent the rest of the day home.  We had a BIG salad for dinner that night.  Last night I made Pasta Primavera Alfredo with wheat pasta, YUM.

Tonight I have my friend Diane is coming over for dinner with her daughter, they have had a really rough week, so I got up early this morning before work (to straighten up, etc ~ first time theyÂ’ve visited, want the house to be especially inviting) and braised some country style pork ribs, and put them in the crock for the day with a teriyaki glaze.  I am going to serve it over rice, with dilled carrots and a salad.  I will probably set off some brownies to bake for dessert, or maybe make orange JuliusÂ’Â…. both sound goodÂ…

I have definitely noticed a difference in how I feel since I cut out preservatives, etc. and have been eating naturally (and as organically) as possible.  I am really starting to feel so much better.  Hannah and I start Pilates (on tape) tomorrow night ~ that will be fun!

So it was a pretty busy weekend, all in all, but projects seem to be moving forward.  But it does look like the next few weeks will keep me running! IÂ’ll stop in to chat a little later.

I've enjoyed catching up with what is going on in your life.
Say, are you joining the recipe swap?
