Now that my shopping is done and we delivered the angel tree gift (which was really cool to do this year). I am in need of ideas on how to get the house cleaned, decorated and stay relaxed with a busy work schedule. I'm tired as I write this being that I've been up since 8a, worked at the library from 1p-5p and then BBW from 6p-10p. I should be in bed but I can't sleep. I really want to settle on what to do and to get some idea of what I need to do.
So, as I was sitting here thinking about all this, I began reading my email. In my flylady update, there was one titled "Paying It Forward:Love Thy neighbor!" In this testimony, the flybaby was sharing how she helped a young mother get her act together in 5 days due to a social worker's demand. It so impressed me that I am going to try to work this plan out for myself. My plan may be longer than 5 days because we have 1 more bedroom and bath and I want to add putting up decorations as a separate task. In this example, she set each room on a day similar to the way FlyLady has zones for each week of the month. This allowed them a clear plan to get things done and to be able to do it all working as a team. Now this is the part I must work on, I may be the only member on my team so I must plan wisely. Hopefully, I can recruit the gang, but we'll see.
Here's my plan:
Day 1 ~ Kitchen, Day 2 ~ Laundry room, Day 3 ~ Diningroom/Livingroom, Day 4 ~ 2 dc's bedrooms, Day 5 ~ dc bedroom and bath, Day 6 ~ Master bedroom/bath, Day 7 ~ Garage, Day 8 ~ Hallway/Decorations. This doesn't include having clean carpets and having maintenance workers repair some of our appliances. This should be doable but I'll pray about it first to ensure that I don't bite off more than I can chew ~ literally.
Off to bed w/me now. Goodnight.
