We got about 5-6 inches of snow and we have been hanging around the homestead enjoying the peacefulness of it all. We did go out once, to pickup our youngest dd, but other than that we stayed put. OK broke records with this snowfall, we got 10.4 inches. The temps are expected to be around 7 degrees tonight so there is a possibility of freezing. I hope not, since I work tomorrow and don't want to deal w/slick roads early in the morning. Hopefully, I won't have to go in as early as normal since we will not be opened til noon.
I've been working on a little project though its not Tuesday, I've tackled the fireplace and the surrounding area today. Our fireplace has been buried under boxes of books for quite sometime due to us planning to move. We aren't moving yet but we never did move those boxes to the garage or anywhere else for that matter. And here we are needing our fireplace and you couldn't even see it. I cleared away the boxes, vacuumed in and around it, and I cleared, dusted, polished and re-arranged the mantel top. It was very dusty. Oh, how I have neglected this area of my livingroom for far too long. I took before and after pictures, but the after pictures are too dark and you can't see anything. I'll take new ones tomorrow and post the before/after so that you can see what I did. I even cleared out a neglected area in my bedroom which is where I placed the neatly arranged and packed boxes that were in and on the fireplace. They look so much better and they aren't falling over or anything. I am very tired now but it was worth it. Hubby has cleaned up the inside of the fireplace and there is a lovely fire. I'll try to take a picture of the fire too. I did manage to take more pictures of the snow and uploaded them on my other site here.
In my cleaning and re-arranging of boxes, I found a couple of books that I didn't know I had. I left them out of the boxes to take a look at them. I look forward to really using the first two.
*sorry there weren't pictures of most of these, but I think a couple have pictures that can only be seen when you click the link.
Well, I'm going to call it a night. Talk w/you all soon.

• Sat 2 Dec 2006 - Hi There
The Beverly Lewis books that I got today are books 1, 3, and 5 of her "Abram's Daughters" series. I thought I checked to see if I had a complete series, but I was rushing to get outside because dh was waiting out in the van with the kids and he wanted some time to look around in the shop too. If I had been more careful, I would have noticed that I didn't have them all, and I might have found the other two. There were some other Beverly Lewis books there too. Oh well!
