The Simple Pleasures of Life

• Mon 1 May 2006 - ~ Changes 4 Me ~

Posted in Changes 4 Me

Things have been changing around here and I am starting to see the fruit of my labour.  I have finally decided to official start a weight loss plan.  Thats right, you heard me ~ a weight loss, not diet, plan.  I have been losing weight since I began working part-time but now that my oldest dd's graduation is only 6 wks away, well, its time for me to take some action if I want to feel comfortable in my clothing.

I've decided to begin my weight loss plan using Leslie Sansone's book "Walk Away the Pounds."  I am very happy that I can do this from my home as well as outdoors.  I have a membership to a wellness ctr but have only used it 2x in the 2 yrs I've had it.  (psst ~ don't tell my dh, he is the supervisor there. LOL).  Anyway, I am going to make a conscientous effort to slim down, starting this week.

Leslie's has a 6 week plan that I will follow using my own modifications.  I am confident I will be able to meet my goal since it is not something unrealistic.  My goal is to fit comfortable in my current dress size.  This means, I will have to lose inches more than actual pounds.  Like I said, I've begun doing so since last Aug, when I was wearing an XL t-shirt.  This weekend, I was able to wear a Med.  Yippee!! Doin' the happy dance.   Now you must understand, I am a 30-something mom of 3 teens and weigh as much as I did before delivery.  This is too much for my 5'4" frame and I can feel it.  I will track my progress with a little ticker in the sidebar, I hope, and will create journal entries for posterity ~ actually for your humor.   I will outline my plan of action too.

Here is a listing of Leslie's products I will be using.
