Eggs still hatching...
Well, we now have 10 new chicks and 4 baby ducks...Mama hen is still setting...bless her heart she is such a good little hen. After an egg hatches I leave the chick with her 24 hours and then remove it and put it with the others under a light...I suppose she is determined to hatch every egg...Our Duck hen is still setting but her eggs are getting very close to hatching...when the light is a certain way you can see the duck inside the egg...how cool is that!?! We really need the new chicks so next spring we have more layers...I am hoping to get away from having to buy chicks and just replace my own as needed...I will post pics later right now we are on our way out...Hope you day has been blessed so far!

What a blessing it is to see eggs hatching when Mama Hens' are doing their jobs. :- ) I also have a setting hen right now. She has 7 eggs under her and not one of them came from her. She started acting broody about a month ago, so we placed several eggs under her by another bird. She has about a week to go. It's so exciting to watch and wait for that first egg to hatch!
Have a blessed day in The Lord!
