Transplanted City Girl

• Tuesday, June 20, 2006 - Wonderful Friends

Wow.  I never knew I'd meet so many wonderful people when I first started blogging: it was purely so I didn't have to send multiple e-mails telling the same things to my family.  Yet I've met so many incredible women who have been a real support.  And lately, they've been sending me stuff!  I don't know how to get a hold of some of you, but please accept my deepest, most heartfelt thanks for the thoughtful gifts.

Busy busy again, still cutting alfalfa, watering the garden, milking, making cheese.......  And counting down the days until Mommy gets here.  I can't wait to see her!

Our billy goats have been getting out... a lot, there is one in particular that is impossible to confine.  Well, I thought so.  BUt the other day he got out and ate up a whole day's worth of cut alfalfa, and Chris got fed up, pulled their fence down and put up a hot fence, instead of a hot wire running along the fence.  It's been a week and Starbuck has not left that area.  Hot fences are incredible.

The baby went through quite the growth spurt over the weekend: I couldn't eat enough, and now then, well, everything's a little bit harder to do.  I love that feeling, though.  It means I'm that much closer to seeing this baby.  I want to see what she looks like.

Well, I had better close.  Going to be another very hot and probably busy day.  Look for a longer post when I have more interesting stuff happening.

How exciting that you are feeling the baby! I can't wait to see pictures after he/she is born!

Those goats sound like my dog! No matter how hard I try she still gets out of the yard! I finally put up shock wire and that just about took care of it!

Hey sis, glad everything is going good for you. I am SO glad you met some friends out there, ya know... with your personality I wasn't too sure.... but *grins evily* guess everything has worked out for the best.
Your goat sounds like Daisy, except that I don't even pertend to try to keep her penned up, now I am just doing my best to keep her from destroying all the flowers mom buys and puts on the porch, and failing also. GRRR!!!! well dear, I'll talk to ya later. take care of yourself. Abigail

Anyway, I'm so glad God has blessed you so Sarah! I think of you lots. It's nice to know we can still discuss the same topics and agree! ~Tira

I tried the Doughnut Muffins from the Hillybilly Housewife site. They are VERY GOOD! I'm not sure if I like the prospect of eating 1/3 cup of veg. shortening, though! So I might try butter, even if I loose the "unique" texture. If you're interested, I'll let you know how it works. :)

Oh, and Sarah? About that little comment that YOUR brothers are cuter than mine? I'm not so sure about that . . . I don't see you posting any pictures of them online! Huh? *giggles so hard she's about to fall out of her chair*

On a more serious note, I would love to hear about your siblings!! It would make a fun post. Back when you were on xanga, I tried to put together who was family and who was honerary family and I think I figured out 2/10. It was sooooo confusing! :)

This is just a little note to Jonash2004!!! I'm not so sure how much you want to know about Sarah's family.... I mean, I am really sweet but the others.... well, just a little warning. *wonders how far away I can run before a sibling sees this* Ab

About Me

Pretty young, serving God, happily married, a very proud mother, one of 10 children who wants to have 15, proud of my husband, a country away from my wonderful family and still not regretting it enough to go visit them, because I've got my own family now. I know they understand.
