Thursday the 4th of September kicked off very nicely for our second year at homeschooling and both the kids and I enjoyed it immensly. Even my daughter complimented on how nice it was to be doing something while the other kids were in public school and they werent getting bored.
We did have a few mishaps that could have thrown us off canter, like realizing I needed printer ink (so we stopped what we were doing and went bought some) and the conference call we were on( but was blessed it happened during our lunch hour anyways). Naw school began and was completed very well on that first day.
Which brings me to talk about our second day today.... its still plugging along for you see the kids and I are still battling a head cold and today it appears my son is getting his full days worth of runny nose , coughing and sneezing in, on top of that he lost is bottom tooth. While the son was battling the sneezies, I had to lay myself down for a nap which knocked me out for 3 hours.... Even though our second day appears to be somewhat of a dud at least we got in our Bible and Math subjects in and we can hit up our Language Arts tomorow.
Well that pretty much sums up our first two days of school. How are you all doing so far?

PS: I am including a few shots I took of the kids yesterday on the old school desk that was given to me from my late 100 year old grandfather.... not sure if it was his as a child but just the same its so neat to have....
How many public school kids do you know can go and learn barefoot?

And how many boys do you know could get away with saying girls drool and boys rule. At least in my classroom there is no affirmative political correct rules.
