~ Got Dirt? ~ |

Prior to My beloved departing back to Iraq after his 18 days of r&r, Jason got a craving for a silly concoction that I have made a couple times before..... Its called dirt cake and its a wonderfully tasty, late summer treat. I would love to share a pic of mine but ummmm lets just say it was gone before you could say CHEESE
DIRT CAKE/OREO COOKIE DESSERT
1 pkg. crushed Oreos (reserve 1 cup for topping)
1/3 cup butter
2 pkg. (3 ounces each) instant vanilla pudding mix (or any flavor)
1 1/2 cups milk
1 quart vanilla ice cream, softened
1 12 oz Frozen Cool Whip
package of gummy worms
- Chop cookies very fine in food processor. The white cream will disappear.
- Mix butter, cookie crumbs, and sugar in bowl.
- In a large bowl mix milk, pudding and Cool whip together.
- Combine pudding mixture and ice cream mixture together.
- Layer in flower pot, starting with 1/2 the cookies then cream mixture. add remaining cookies on top . ( dont forget to hide a few gummy worms in there)
- Chill until ready to serve.
- Add artificial flower and trowel. Enjoy!
